MBB work from home environment

How are consultants at MBB feeling about working from home? I'm hearing some are telling the incoming class to delay their start date a few months so they can start in person since work from home has so many drawbacks. Is that actually a good idea?

Delay, delay, delay. I can't emphasize this enough. Consulting is not something that's easily learned if you don't have a manager to regularly speak with in your early stages. If you have an MBB offer, they are very, VERY generous if you do ask to defer. I had a member of my office who held off for an entire year and joined the following year's class because she wanted to travel the world.

Agree with the above rn, joined remotely and it’s been rough for both hours and learning. Pretty in the flow now after a couple months but first ~6 months were not a great time, I’m sure other analysts would appreciate the bodies rn though

Is WFH still an option? Are firms flexible if you choose to work Hybrid at a local regional office?

Do you forsee WFH a permenant thing?

Thanks all
