Non-technical offer from SunGard Consulting Services

I am a third-year law student at a Top 15 law school (UT), and I got screwed by the employment cycle (was planning to do agency work ... and budget interfered). I didn't seem to do well with law firm interviews either and was facing unemployment. I went in wanting to do JD preferred business side work but I guess didn't have a background ... or something. And I have not been well focused during school - at least from a career point of view - since the whole process is muddled and confusing to those who don't have rich parents.

I recently got this offer from SunGard Consulting Services "Energy Softworx" in Houston as a professional services consultant. I don't really have a background in what they do, but I guess I did well on their IQ test or something and have a decent GPA. I did three interviews and a dinner with them, one in their office.

Does anyone know anything about this division of SunGard or SunGard in general? And why would they hire someone w/out a tech background? Are they legitimate? Finally, it looks like I will be admitted to the Master of Finance at UT, so I might or might not be able to do better if I went with that and focused on bigger consulting companies next fall. If it matters, I don't have much debt, so more education would be fine if it would improve my prospects.
