Prep for Incoming MBB Intern

Hey everyone, Im an incoming MBB intern and was wondering if anyone had advice for getting ready for the summer. I have about a month between exams ending and work starting where I don't have much to do (still in lockdown) and wanted to see if there was something I could do to get ready for my summer (PPT/Excel course etc.)

Thanks!

I found the Udemy courses on Excel and PowerPoint to be incredibly thorough and really cheap (like $20-25 USD) for what you get (~10-20 hours of video content + resources). It's a great refresher and helps fill knowledge gaps. My personal favourites are Nuts & Bolt's founder Taylor Croonquist's PPT Advanced Training coruse and the Microsoft Excel Beginner to Advanced training course. The sticker prices are marked up to make the "limited time" sales of 87-90% off their courses appear more appealing, but in truth, their courses are actually valued at $20-25 and the sales are incredibly frequent. In a given month, I saw 5-6 "flash sale" promos. If you fill your shopping cart and check every few days, you'll probably run into the discounted price.

Relax, have fun, and be ready to learn -- you'll be given plenty of guidance and time to learn things (the firm will have their own training on what you need to pick up). Also, depending on what you're staffed on, you might not need any specific skills (e.g., advanced excel, tableau, etc.) so no need to learn in advance unless you're interested in it

MBBs don't work interns too hard from what I've seen, just be humble and make the most of the experience
