Public Sector / Government Consulting Exit Opps

What are some exit opportunities for consultants working in government / public sector consulting specifically (other than the obvious of working in government directly)? I've been working for a relatively well-known non-MBB firm in their government advisory practice for 1.5 years now and looking to make a change but am unsure about what is realistic given that my experience and knowledge is quite different from that of a consultant advising clients in the private sector. For some context, I have a masters degree in public policy and work experience in government and media. Any insights would be much appreciated.
