Restructuring Consulting to Distressed PE or HF
I just got an internship offer at a restructuring consulting firm and am wondering if there is any potential for me to leverage this experience into a distressed focused PE or HF role? What would this process look like? I read a few other posts, but there isn’t too much information on this.
I have seen someone do this. Ryan Weaver. He was at FTI consulting then moved to Houlihan RX banking then to Apollo PE. Made principal there I believe. Now is a CEO of a PE/HF backed company I believe
PE for sure in LMM, HF probably not.
I know one guy who left for PE. And my MD was an Rx consultant, turned HF guy, then back to rx consulting
