Senate Internship

Hey everyone, been a longtime reader of WSO but made this account so I could ask my first question. This fall I will begin my freshman year of university in DC, and am extremely lucky to have been accepted into an internship in a Senator's office for the school year. My post graduation goal is to work in management consulting, and I'm curious if this internship will help come recruiting time. My dilemma is that I have an aunt working for a boutique consulting firm in NOVA that has also offered me an internship, and her current client is a Fortune 50 company. However, I definitely could intern for her next summer or school year. I'm wondering if I should take her offer and then try to leverage that experience into a larger consulting internship my sophomore year, or if the Senate Internship will help me stand out?
