For McKinsey (TC):

Business Analyst (2yrs) - £55,000
Associate/Sr. Associate (1.5yrs) - £110,000
Engagement Manager (2-3yrs) - £150,000
Junior/Associate Partner - £210,000

This is the absolute fastest progression. In practise, it's likely to be longer if you include an MBA or secondment

Certainly good money, but not on par with law and banking; you'll make IBD associate money in your 6th year on the job. You'll also be paid about 60% of your peers across the pond. Hours might be very slightly lower on average, but this certainly isn't a "WLB" job.
