Bonus when selling company
Curious, if you have ever worked in corpdev and worked on selling your company, did you get any type of bonus outside your annual bonus?

If you are in the situation and not getting an incentive to stay and see it through, start looking for a new job ASAP.
The EL with the bankers hasn't even been signed yet, so I haven't had that discussion with our leadership team. Annual bonuses and reviews are right around the corner, though. Certainly feel like there should be a bonus if I were at risk of losing my job post-close, but I'm not sure that's the case.

From what I've seen if there's a material increase in workload to get the deal done, you'll get some retention bonus. This will vary by title and how heavy of a lift it is - I've been through sale and spin processes, latter is heavier lift. This would be in addition to any severance if you were separated and immediate vesting of unvested equity.
