Art.VandelayExcuse me if this has been gone over, I'm a little ignorant to FLDPs. I'm an Accounting major at a public Florida university so not at a target school at all. I plan to do an MSA to be CPA eligible.

My ultimate goal is to end up at an upper level position at an F500. My original plan was to do Big 4 audit for a few years until the manager level and then try to jump ship to corporate finance. But I'm worried about getting pigeonholed into only accounting type work.

Would an FLDP be a better idea?

ksh206How would my chances at these Leadership Development Programs be affected by taking a year off after undergrad to do voluntary service?  I'm a senior at a small private college with a decent gpa (3.5) and am looking for work experience that will eventually lead to a top bschool.
Hard to know. My program always seems to have people interviewing and some are hired that had jobs between the program and graduating. But, i've never seen anyone do volunteer service during that time.
