From Corporate Banker to Corporate Finance?

Hey all, have some recent self-reflection after reaching 30s, working as corporate banker for BB banks all my past 7 years after grad, i.e. more on relationship management side.

Now, would like to break my way to corporate finance, venturing into IB, DCM, ECM, etc...

Should I take an MBA (likely need to get student loan for M7 plus ROI seems bit low.....) or how can I enter the field? or which one would be a smoother transit or anyone here have any successful story to share?

Sincerely need some advice as I felt so lost in direction for now on what and how to do it......... Great thanks!

Thanks for the pointers! think the struggle comes in when at you reach a bottle neck and feel like exit is limited for this type of roles....

Feel like it is too late to restart again, or shld i take an full time hopefully M7 MBA at my early 30s...

appreciate insights
