FT Partners Research and Business Development?

Hello All,

Wondering what everyone thinks or has experienced with the RBD and Strategy groups at investment banks. What exactly goes into the day to day process as far as the balance between research/analytics and sourcing deals? I think this is an extremely interesting career path especially getting a foot in the door at a bank. Not sure how it is at other banks but FT Partners group is called RBD and not Strategy. Obviously will be a different side of the business that comes with lower pay and hours but could be extremely beneficial to learning IB. If anyone is in this group or has worked in this group I would appreciate any insight.
