Strategic Finance in High Growth / Tech Firm
Anyone have experience in strategic finance at a high growth stage tech firm? I'll be joining this role at a firm around $1bn in valuation. Team consists of all prior ibd folks. Sounds like majority of the work will be around IR, strategic partnerships / M&A.
Few questions I have:
- What type of work are you usually busy with?
- What are the hours like?
Appreciate any input.
zxcvjkl, sorry about the lack of response. Maybe one of these topics will help:

Hey, I stumbled across your post while trying to learn more about strategic finance roles. I’m currently thinking about going for my MBA and interested in similar roles to the one you just joined (strategy and business development). Would you be open to sharing a bit about your background (previous experience, education, etc)? Is it possible to land these roles without IB experience? How have the hours been so far?
