PC Head Hunters / Agencies

What is the general thoughts on the LinkedIn postings through HH/Agency firms. See a lot of these pop up and try to back into which firm(s) it is behind the recruiter.

Specifically Selby/Carter Pierce type firms

I am currently an AN1 in a Aquisition Financing arm (Direct lending type role/underwriting syndications) at a balance sheet bank. Looking to end up in PC after 18 months - 2 years mark

The good HHs don't really post their roles publicly. Stay away from Selby, Pinpoint, and Waterstreet. People also don't like Dartmouth although I actually had a good experience with them. Any of the major HHs will have credit roles, but I'd recommend DSP, Henkel, Odyssey, and Robin Judson (more distressed / unique roles though). Reach out to them once you hit your 1 year mark - they probably won't take you that seriously this early on
