Private Credit Salaries in London

Hey guys,

Looking for any insights on private credit salaries in London.

Coming from a BB, what are the ranges one can expect to see for Investment Analyst and Associate roles?

For Analyst, I am thinking £70-100k on the low end and maybe £100-160k on the higher end (including bonus).

Associates maybe £160k+.

I don’t have much information to go on except maybe a convo with a friend, so take as a grain of salt. Let me know your thoughts. Thnx!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you can expect for private credit salaries in London:

  1. Analyst Roles:

    • Base salaries for analysts in private credit typically align with IB analyst salaries, which are around £70k-100k.
    • Including bonuses, total compensation can range from £100k to £160k, depending on the fund and performance.
  2. Associate Roles:

    • For associates, compensation is generally higher. First-year associates at UMM/Large Cap funds in London can expect around £90k base + £90k bonus, totaling £180k all-in.
    • For senior associates (Year 3), this can increase to £110k-120k base with a 100% bonus, bringing total comp to £220k-240k.

These figures can vary depending on the fund type, size, and structure of bonuses (cash vs. deferred). Let me know if you need more details!

Ignore title - I’m an ASO 1 in PC in London.

Having interviewed with several shops. Lowest I’ve seen at my level was around 100k base + 80k bonus. Highest (Apollo) was around 145 + 145. Carlyle was 125 + 125

Barings used to be on the lower end of the spectrum but understand they bumped following Corinthian exodus and ANA 1 are around 80k + 60k (not 100% sure bonus is accurate)
