I actually feel like here MM would be a better opp though, more transferable skill set?

It's a risk for sure, a friend of mine just chucked in a comfortable M&A role to go into fund sales for a crypto fund... he has the right risk attitude and he has not looked back, his sales experience is probably more transferrable than crypto prop trading - thats your main risk in my eyes.

 

Agree with GMG.

How much coding will the crypto trader role involve, if it's a lot then you have some fallbacks/transferable skills where as if you're doing discretionary manual crypto trading then you have significantly less.
