Do TradFi concepts still matter for crypto traders?

I’ve been thinking about how much of crypto trading still depends on traditional finance concepts.

A lot of people treat crypto as a completely separate market, but once you actually spend time trading, the same old ideas keep coming back: liquidity, leverage, risk management, market cycles, positioning, and emotional discipline. The assets are different, but the behavior often feels very familiar.

I noticed BYDFi running a small trading knowledge quiz around TradFi topics, which made me wonder whether these beginner-level educational campaigns are actually useful or just another exchange marketing angle.

Personally, I think the basic concepts matter more than people admit. A short quiz obviously will not make anyone a good trader, but if it gets newer users to slow down and review risk before touching leverage, that is probably a net positive.
