You're buying into a scam/bubble of an industry.
How is this true...?
As opposed to what else exactly? It isn't like the USD is backed by anything intrinsic really. This idea that people who don't like blockchain technology just assume it is a scam simply because they don't like it is an amazing thing to see.
I mean it's back by several things:
Comparing bitcoin to the USD is silly as it stands, not saying it (or some other crypto) can't take over at some point in the future, I just don't see it anytime soon.
Sit patiently for a while longer. Wouldn't make a move this week considering the Evergrande situation & Gensler speech that's set to take place today

To all of you who are "into" crypto, how deep do you get into the actual technical workings of these systems? Do you run nodes, play around with mining, study the code base and the actual technical operations of these things? Or is 99.9% of this just clicking the Buy and Sell buttons on online exchanges?
