60% wool or 99% wool or 100% Wool?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy some dress pants. They come in 60% wool, 99% wool, or 100% wool. The 100% wool will be ideal but are the 60% wool and 99% wool okay too?

They’ll likely be fine as long as they don’t look too shiny (more concerning the 60% wool). Synthetic fibers, when poorly utilized, can be pretty obvious. Just make sure there’s a return policy in case you receive them and they look cheap.
It's becoming more common to add ~1% elastane to give trim-fitting wool dress pants a bit of stretch, like this one from Bonobos. Shouldn't pose a "cheap & shiny" issue, but you might want make sure returns are easy, or check them out in a store first.
BTW, unlike jeans, most dress pants are designed for easy tailoring, and most of them will need some adjustments in the waist/seat/inseam to fit you well. Either buy from a store that offers this, or find a good tailor you trust.

It's ok having some elastane. And even if it is 60% it really depends on what kind of mix is there.
Thanks for the response. The mix is either Wool/poly/Lycra spandex, just wool/elastane, or just wool/cotton from J Crew.
