A&E is a shoe company. The others are a fashion brand. A&E's will last as long as you take care of them. They can be resoled and re-crafted.

Agree with ANT... I find AE to be very comfortable every day shoes and I wear them very frequently. Have had my current pair for ~2 years and haven't needed to resole them yet, which is impressive given how much walking I end up doing on NYC's rough pavement.

would you say that AE loafers last longer or shorter than AE park avenues?

They're different types of shoes. There will be occasions where loafers are less appropriate. You won't get any stares wearing Park Avenues.

I have a pair and no one cares/looks. Shoes are shoes, they all look the same. The more expensive (AE) tend to last longer and fit better than your Florsheims, thus the price is justified and in my eyes, totally worth it if you have some extra cash.

TNAGo on Ebay and buy them used. A fraction of the price.

Or if you're weird about used shoes, get sized and then email their Shoe Bank. Got a pair of Park Avenues for $220 over President's Day weekend.

ahpatsumHow long would a pair of AE park avenue's last if I wore them every other day to work? (in shoe tree when at home)

How long for AE loafers ?

Depends on the shoe. I recently bought a pair of AE Veronas and love them. However the salesman said that they the soles will only last 6months of heavy everyday use. All the other shoes they said should last a little over a year before you will need to get them refinished

RodneyBro20Cole Haan is the way to go. Nordstrom Rack and Shoe Mania in NYC are where to go.

Not when you can get AEs for the same price if not cheaper.
