Who shot the couch?
That is one ugly tie. Jacksonville Jaguars' teal, Baltimore Ravens' purple, Cleveland Browns' brown, and some shade from the mustard family.

Looks like a wool plaid tie. Look up the following:

That tie is more for the winter so it maybe tough to find something similar right now with Spring and Summer collections out.

A wool tie isn't any more professional/unprofessional than a silk one. I think they are a great way to add a little twist to your wardrobe. I typically wear wool ties in the fall and winter. Don't wear them during the spring or summer.
