Attire for really skinny people?

Hi I’m looking for business casual attire for a fall semester internship. Most shirts I find feel baggy / have wrinkles.

I’m about 5’11 but weigh around 135 lbs which would be on the skinnier side. Does anyone have recommendations for shirts that would fit well for my measurements?

Hey there! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like you might benefit from looking for fitted clothes. Given your slim build, clothes that are specifically designed to be fitted might look better on you.

However, be careful with classic cut shirts. They might end up looking too baggy due to the excess fabric around the sides.

Remember, the most important factor when finding clothes is to find clothes that fit. Confidence in your clothes can make a big difference too. So, find what clothes you like and be confident in them. The more you like your clothes, the more you will wear them.

As for specific brands or stores, I'm afraid I can't provide that information. But I hope this general advice helps you in your search!

Have a similar build, and while I haven’t shopped around for various brands, I’ve found that Bonobos tailored fit shirts work perfectly and aren’t baggy around the arms or sides of the chest.

i weigh about the same but am 6’2.

Pants: Recently have been liking the kenneth cole slim fit “reaction” slacks. Pretty slim but not skinny, and a 29x31 works perfectly for me.

Shirts: Charles Tyrwhitt shirts are decent, but still a bit baggy even in the extra slim. would recommend getting a coolfandy (cheap amazon brand) sweater as they fit very slim. I typically wear it over the shirt and it’s a good look.
