Bag for the office?

Curious to hear what you all bring to work. I’m most likely just going to carry a laptop, notepad and some pens. Are backpacks or briefcases more common? I’m starting full time in SF in July and haven’t worked in an office since early 2020. The backpack I’ve used since 2018 has a tear so I’ll need an upgrade no matter what.

Would appreciate recommendations.

Soft sided briefcase.  The Lenovo laptop bag is probably my best call, but I sneakily do a legacy company Ogio bag half the time to say "yeah, I've been here longer than you."

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
