Bags for female bankers

To all female bankers: what bag for work are you currently using that you would recommend or is there something you have your eye on?

Looking for some inspiration (also budget doesn’t really matter)

Thanks!

Depends how much you have to carry. Longchamp, Neverfull (black or tan one with minimal branding), YSL East West tote or banker bag are totally appropriate if you like to carry a lot. If you're on a budget, go pick up a black tote somewhere (get one that zips so no one can grab anything)

If you only have your keys/phone and want a smaller bag, I see a lot of small fashion type bags (minimal branding, avoid flashy logo hardware) in black, tan, gray, burgundy - YSL Sac de Jour, Givenchy antigona, Celine nano/belt are a few ideas. Obviously these are all a bit rich for a first year analyst's budget, but any small neutral colored bag you have will work just fine.

High-end: Celine Cabas Phantom, Goyard St Louis PM, Prada Cleo, Prada Re-Edition 1995, Gucci Jackie, Stella McCartney Fallabella, Fendi By The Way, anything from The Row

Affordable: Staud (Moon, Shirley, Alec, Scotty), Mansur Gavriel (Everyday Soft Tote, Tulipano, Small Zip Tote), By Far (Amber, Issa), Coperni Swipe

Many of these can be found second hand in excellent condition on Vestiaire Collective or TRR (esp older models like the Fendi BTW, vintage Gucci Jackie, Celine Cabas).

Personally I prefer sticking to darker colors (black, navy, dark grey, taupe, dark green). As mentioned above, I would also stay away from big logos and monograms (except for Goyard imho as it's more understated than the Gucci/Prada/Fendi one).

I totally understand the struggle of finding the perfect work bag. Have you considered checking out Burberry bags? They offer some really stylish and functional options that could be just what you're looking for, and since budget isn't an issue, you might just find your dream bag!
