Brand Recommendations for Men's Dress Slim Fit Shirts and/Suits
Was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for men's clothing brands - specifically stuff on the slimer side. With WFH being over, I think its time to update the closet a bit.

I get my shirts from proper cloth
Hugo Boss has some great suits and will often go on sale
Got a great suit from SuitSupply the other weekend. Highly recommend the Napoli fit for slim/athletic guys, fit me basically out the box. Only had to get the sleeves brought out. The navy looks a lot darker on their website than in person.
+1 SuitSupply should be a go-to for all young professionals. Great quality stuff, not a bad price point and it fits really well.
Thomas Pink - shirt $200
Suit - Hugo Boss $800-900 last I checked. Note if youre in NYC, the Hugo Boss store in meatpacking wil have additonal/different suits that are extra slim vs. the normal ones at Nordstrom.
How does it look wearing a Hugo Boss Suit as a junior though. I know its common sense to stay away from brands like Feragamo that have flashy logos anywhere and everywhere, but how about Hugo Boss
Let’s put it this way - I got compliments during both summers from Director/MD folks that I dressed well.
This director who either didn’t feel like bringing a jacket to work or forget it would borrow mine for a meeting randomly 1 time. And got 0 negative comments
Also Ferragamo ties are great. And sleds Industry standard to wear em!
This is really going to depend on the price point you are willing to spend. If you can swing it, I highly recommend finding a local custom suit maker and going that route. They often aren't as expensive as you think they are and will fit you perfectly.
Anyone got thoughts on CT shirts - heard mixed things in other threads
Charles T Is great. Looks good, great price point. The Thomas PInk in blue and white is worn for special occasions. I used to wear Ferragamo ties to work regularly but after getting toothpaste on 1 - ruining permanently - and risking that eating w/ it on, I stopped doing that too (actually saw a few coworkers ignore the tie policy so I started to do the same)
CT is trash, suitsupply for suits and mizzen & main for workhorse dress shirts you don’t have to iron. Hugo boss if you don’t like the stretchy material.
Well these replies are quite contradictory
CT has great quality shirts. Just got 6 for a summer IB internship
Turnball and Asser. They use sea island cotton, and mother of Pearl, shirts fit and last great. You can have them tailored to your figure.
I find Eton shirts fit me like a glove and they do go on sale. Z Zegna has some stylish slim suits that aren’t too expensive - be careful with the slim stuff, got my last suits pre-covid and now the pants are pretty tight after I put on just a couple of pounds
