Brooks Brothers sales

I believe there's a big sale (semiannual sale is what you're looking for, or the "friends and family") after Christmas in Jan or Feb, when you get shirts for $50 each.

Screw the Brooks Brother's Sale, Nordstrom has a men's sale starting the day after xmas that will blow this out of the water. You will find all the best shit at like 60% off.

Late summer this year Brooks Brothers had shirts for 39.50 for each (3 min) in both store and online, including extra slim fits. That's about as low as I have seen it go.

For regular times, sometimes they increase the corporate discount to 25%, allowing you to buy 3 for 150 (instead of 200), bring it down to 50/shirt + tax/S&H.

The regular corporate discount is 15%, right? Can that be used on the general 3/$199 deal?

The 15% works on the 199.99. In last couple of months they had several promotions where it kicked in as 25%.

The lowest I bought them for was $34.75/shirt from the Clearance section online. Data: 7/15/2010. Designs were limited (mostly stripes, no solids). I don't remember what they called it, but it seemed more like a clear the stock before Fall. I was only limiting myself to extra slim fits, but lot more options were available for slim or regular fit at same price.

If anyone is interested, they are at the $50/shirt price level again with the 15% online discount they have today.

Just went to the local Brooks Brothers and couldn't pass up the 3-shirt deal today. 40% off holiday sale and 15% off on top of that, came to about $45 per shirt. Very nice threads...

Yeah. The only thing I hate is how the Extra Slim Fit online is a far narrower selection than actually in stores. There's 3 shirts for Non-Iron, 4 or 5 for standard Cotton, and as many for Luxury. I need something other than a whole stack of powder blue.

Running into King of Prussia later this week, we'll see what's good.

Corporate discount is always in effect in my experience, but it's additive so its 15% off the sale price as opposed to a percentage discount on the pre-sale price + the sale discount. I went in to grab a couple shirts the day after xmas (side not: I destroy my shirts in a year or two in the bi-weekly rotation via stains and general wear, does this happen to everyone else?) and ended up grabbing 3 ties, 2 shits and a fitzsgerald instead. Grand total: $713

The corporate discount doesn't apply on the semi annual sale (or any other special sale). If you put the code in, it puts the shirt back in original price, then takes a 15% discount.

I guess I stand corrected, maybe my sales guy just asked for my card and then didn't apply it.

I'm going to go to the store and try and push the issue. I will report back.

I'm going in on Friday, any thoughts on a Milano or should I stick with the Fitzgerald? I like slim fit suits (6'1", 168, broad shoulders, Jr. Olympic track-and-field physique) and need to pick up something besides the black one (oh the horror!) I've interviewed in.
