crooked teeth will be worse off.

trust me, the money i paid for my braces was worth every dime.

anyone here have or had dental braces while they were going through recruiting? i might have to and completely honest, i feel like they may hurt me. Because banking/consulting are such presentable and somewhat superficial cultures, a mouth full of metal wouldnt be so ideal. Any thoughts? thanks.

I don't know if it will help or hurt (it definitely will be noticeable) but my dad's an orthodontist and he says that approx. 70% of his patients do invisalign. Even if you are wearing them you can hardly tell and you can take them out if you want (for dates, interviews, pictures, etc.). I had them and it was great. I would look into it.

therock555:
Unfortunately invasilgn is not an option. The best I can manage is ceramic braces which are a bit less visible. My teeth are not crooked because I had braces once before. This time one of my inner molars got messed up so it would be more for function than it would be for aesthetics. Should I get them?

ah dam that sucks. I agree with what the other posters are saying. If you have to get them get them (especially if you need them for functional reasons. The bigger issue is if you feel self conscious or timid because of them. Like the other poster said, just make a joke if you think it's a big deal. Also, I know it may be tough, but focus on preparing for interviews because that will give you confidence and take your mind of this.

dude, i met one of my hottest gfs while i had braces. who gives a shit.

get it to get your teeth fixed.

I did you can read threads about me even asking exact same questions I did make it though and did get a nice internhip where i'll hopefully be heading back next summer and then ft after that

Ok

1st having braces puts you at an unfair disadvantage this is just the real world 2nd they will look at your braces in interviews

Here are my stats ~ 9 interviews 2 internship offers

i got dinged for saying stupid shit i regret saying and somethign you should never say in interviews for example

delloite interview:

Have you ever had a consultant go rouge?

^ lol cringe just thinkging about it it

went with a large mortage company over a govt consulting firm and have no regrets i posted my resume on schools ocr and am getting tons of emails from recruiters

moral of story it will come down to what you say over what your teeth look

also if you have a cold just cancle the interview i had one interview where snot was running down my nose and...oh god will take sbs to tell
