Anyone have any insights on this? I cannot stomach the thought of working 80 hours a week in a suit but I definitely can in pants and a polo. Have heard that LA IB is generally more laid back in this regard but want to ask WSO.

Depends on the bank obviously but at least a degree more casual. I lateraled between two banks in LA. One was “nice” (i.e, just not jeans, really) pants collared shirts most days, but never suits. Second bank polo is just about the nicest thing you see in office. Fair amount of t shirts, even. Still no jeans, though.
