Expensive Watch for a Junior
Could be seen as a stupid question, but is it ok to wear an expensive watch (+10k) when starting as an analyst?

It's totally fine, just make sure before you shake peoples hands switch the watch from one hand to another to show your prestige.

My impression: "This guy has done nothing, and lacks the basic awareness to realize there are no favorable optics by wearing it." If the rest of your ensemble/appearance isn't immaculate (or from a similar price point)...It's going to look awkward. I remember growing up and seeing people driving BMWs and going home to million dollar houses, and of course they all had the latest flat screen or whatever...but they had primer paint on the walls, no matching dishes and none of their furniture (most of which was from IKEA) matched any particular aesthetic. It just left a weird impression that the only thing these people cared about was appearing wealthy.
Don't forget the Brooks Brother suit, the Hermes tie, and the Gucci belt.
It could be ok... it could also make people hate you. If you want to wear a nice watch, but don't want to be showy, get something like a seamaster, datejust, or really anything that you could feasibility purchase with your own salary.
Haha, I wasn't talking about Richard Mille or other Patek style watches, I was more thinking about Date just or classic Audemars models
Can't go wrong with a Rolex sport model (Submariner or GMT). An AP might be a bit too flashy.
