Gucci Loafers are classic. Plus much slimmer shoe (not as bulky) which I personally like and surprisingly very durable

As per the OP's question, you really can't go wrong with either. I prefer Ferragamo myself, but that's just personal preference.
Why the LOL? Neither Gucci nor Ferragamo are overly impressive shoe brands.

You can get ferrys at a similar price point during a good sale. Sure you can look good on a budget but don't avoid the flashy name brands just because of some "the man makes the shoes" shpeel.
Ferragamo, I've had a pair for a while, they have really held up well.
Ferragamo made the only shoe I ever bought that broke and I had to return for a refund within a week.

Well Gucci Loafers are certainly the best! I would always go for loafers against any other product or brand!
Try wingtips. I wear them with suits and jeans. My favorite style is the wingtips with black jeans and a "punk rocker jacket." Just don't wear that to work.

im preferential to ferragamos, but i think youll find that they fit differently. I have a narrow foot so ferragamos fit me perfectly while Gucci's are a bit too wide. Try them on, see which one you like. Both are great companies with great shoes. Also might look for tods, pradas, etc.
Allen Edmonds are made in Italy, I believe. At least that's what it says on mine. In terms of italian designers, Ferragamo is my next purchase most likely so I would have to recommend that.
