Haircut for Interviews
Sophomore undergrad getting ready for IB interviews to start in a few months. Does my haircut actually matter? It's the average male length/style but do I need to trim it shorter to match your traditional "corporate cut?"

Career Resources
You don't want to stand out for your haircut at an investment bank. Go on LinkedIn and look at the type of haircuts analysts have at the banks you're applying to. Get a haircut similar to what you see.
Haircut absolutely matters (realistically more for men as there is a much larger margin for error with male haircuts). Get rid of all facial hair and have your hair well kept and off of your face for the interview. I am usually someone who enjoys having longer hair but I kept it shorter during recruiting. If it gives you any hope I immediately got a mullet after getting an offer.
Touch some fucking grass bro.
I think with how woke and diverse banking has gotten in the past decade, you can get away with a lot more nowadays. Lots of analysts and such I see are still sporting the tiktok broccoli cut, younger black men also with dreads/locs. If your hairstyle is ethnic/cultural/religious, nobody would dare say anything about it either. I would still say clean-shaven unless 30yo+ though. The limit is probably a mullet, dyed hair or braids/cornrows/dreads (if not black).
