I have these, they're great
The link didn't work for me, which oxford is it?
I'm not sure of your price range, but I recommend Allen Edmonds 100 %. Also, I've purchased the majority of mine from Ebay with great success for 1/4th the price. The trickiest part was finding the size for me, which is a 10 E in Allen Edmonds (10.5D in most everything else).
To me, I find S Madden to be a bit flimsy. I 2nd dawsokj1988 that AE is the way to go. I've got multiple pairs, multiple colors. Very sturdy and pretty durable. I think they're like $350-400ish, but they do any amazing resole, refinish, etc. job for like $150.
Sidenote, dawsokj1988, do you buy them new or used on Ebay? And so you're paying like $100? If new, or even barely used that's a pretty good deal if not knockoffs.
Ain't no such things as AE knockoffs. I had varying levels of success on ebay. I stuck to AE's factory 2nds sale where you were able to get 2 for $250. I'm in the market now for cheaper shoes that I will wear less regularly so I think I'll try a Steve Madden.
Hahaha I mean, I just figured there's knockoffs of everything these days, but that's good to know I don't have to worry about shoddy AE floating around.
very.chipper I buy from this one seller that I'm pretty sure has a deal worked out with AE. He has hundreds of pairs either new or worn once/twice (can tell by the minor scuffing of the leather soles). They could be factory seconds, but I haven't noticed any major blemishes on the pairs I've purchased. Maybe I've just been lucky so far.
