How many dress shirts/pants for incoming consulting analyst?

Hi Guys,

Just trying to get a better idea of how many I should have in rotation.

Current status is 5 whites, 1 light blue, 1 yellow, a few others shirts in patterns. My mom recently got back from NY and picked up a few (3) patterned shirts while in the area. All the ones she picked up are nice patterns and fit my style. I will be taking them to get fitted soon and they will be kept in my collection for the long haul. Besides the light blue, I plan to phase out the rest of my dress shirt (whites, yellow and old patterned ones) and take them to the Goodwill. These shirts weren't purchased for the long haul and not sure how long they will last from constant wearing and dry cleaning. My plan was to pick 10 or so dress shirts (mostly whites but a few light blues) over the next few weeks and use them. The reason I was thinking 10 is that it would allow me pick up/drop off a weeks worth of dress clothes from the dry-cleaners every Friday (only day in town). Along the same lines, lets say I want to phase out all of my dress pants as well. How many should I look to pick up and in what colors?

Thanks!
