How many ties do you guys own? Would be interested to hear how you collected them over the years (were they gifted, or purchased in bulk?) and how long they last you for. Also curious as to how much you spend on ties; I occasionally see posts on this forum that suggest spending money on a good tie, and besides from paying for a brand name, I kind of don’t get it. I shop at TK Maxx (UK TJ Maxx) and have never paid more than £13 (c.$16) for a ‘good tie’ (Saville Row brands etc.) that has been reduced from at least £40 (c.$50) - in some cases they have been reduced from £95.

Not many as I only wear them to meetings. Currently have 2 cheapish ties and 2 nicer ties (1 Hermes and 1 Ferragamo).
Buy your ties NWOT or NWT using lyst.com to search retailers. I have around 30 ties from Kiton, Brioni, etc... that I got for like 5% - 20% of what they go for normally.
Only 2 (Hermes) Got one from my SO, the other from my parents.
