Intern Dress Code

Hey guys, for interns (especially girls) is if business formal every day? Any days where business casual is allowed (like Friday), and also where do female SAs normally get their clothes? Cant afford to drop a ton of money on it but obviously want to fit the role and have solid quality. Any tips/advice helps to what people have been wearing to the office!

Adding onto this, how has the dress code for interns changed due to covid? I have an SA friend who showed up first day in a suit, was the most overdressed in his group, and was told to dress down. Now he wears polo T-shirts to work and occasionally a button down or more formal suit. Guessing that this heavily depends on the group though. Anyone have a similar experience?

For guys: suits and shirt, no tie. Chino pants with shirts probably ok too sometime. I would still at the very least put on polo shirts or business casual shirts on casual fridays, just to show you’re serious.

for girls, business casual is fine. No need to spend tons of money, anything nice looking and kind of serious will do

Suit pants. Sleeve shirt. Polo if tropical office location. Tucked all times. Lace ups. Patagonia or some light jacket. You don’t need to wear a vest jacket except in dinners.
