I'm going to vote no, regardless of where you are at the firm or the cost. Gold was big in the 80s, but now it just looks like you don't own your own dress clothes, and raided your dad's closet for 30 year old stuff he wouldn't miss.

Granted this is NYC, I understand gold is more acceptable in Asia.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

From March:

"

Hi all,

Just wondering how a fake watch (Patek Phillipe, Rolex, Jacob & co) would look in the office. I already wear fake hermes belt/ties and have fake LV wallets. But those retail for <$1k anyway. how would someone react to me wearing a fake rolex/PP in IB/PE? been wearing them since college and no one seemed to care"

I wear a Ralph Lauren belt to work, it doesn't matter. Do you like Ralph Lauren? Yes or no? ANSWER

If they're looking at your belt, they're looking at your crotch. If they're looking at your crotch, proceed to get a hardon. No one will ever question you again.
