When it comes to clothes; 1. Fit. Even when you cant afford to tailor just try the clothes on first and find the brand that fits best. 2. Cleanliness. Speaks for itself, And buy and iron if you need to or use a dry cleaner every few weeks. Then cleanliness extends to you as a person too.
Or buy the suit at a place like Nordstrom which does basic alterations for free.
