I noticed the topic on leather laptop bags lower on the page - but what I was missing was a topic regarding the color of bags that people find acceptable (and as I am looking for a bag, that seems helpfull). I can also understand that there might be differences between London, NYC and other cities as well, so would love to hear everyone's opinion and what they find acceptable.
Basically the standard colors I come across are:
- black;
- Mokka;
- Cognac; and
- light brownish.
Would love to hear opinions on what color to go for!
I prefer black color.

My recommendation is to match your most typical style. i.e. if you're a NYC/London banker you are probably wearing black belt & shoes 3+ days a week, so go black. My standard dress is pretty casual - brown belt & shoes, so I went light brown leather messenger bag.
