Loafers Decisions

Hi all,

1st year analyst here. Want to get a few pair of loafers (probably a black pair and a brown pair) and was wondering your thoughts on expensive brands vs less-expensive brands.

I obviously know Ferragamo’s and Gucci’s are the nicest but what about the less-expensive brands such as Jay Butler, W. M. Gibson, etc? Any others that I’m missing?

Would they be viewed as “knock-off” or “imitation”? Am I better off making the investment or are the other options also acceptable.

Thanks!
