Long hair for male recruiting in IB - Is this seen as bad?

Hey everyone,

I have really long hair (identical to Kurt Cobain). I'm a rising soph @Target looking to recruit for IB. Should I cut it, will people care?

Style it like Patrick Bateman, if you think you can pull it off. Or else, just cut it.

Put on a suit. Look at yourself in the mirror. Just based on looks would you do a multi-billion dollar transaction with yourself looking like that?  If you can honestly answer yes, then you can keep it. Most people should be answering "no" though.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
