Need Serious Advice for Professional Wear

Ladies at banks, what are some brands you guys shop at? Where do you guys get your office wear? Since we can’t wear suits like men and are expected to have an array of different outfits, I really need some advice for my closet.

I’m also a broke college kid so can’t really shop at high end stores 🥺

The usual suspects: Jcrew, Ann Taylor/loft, banana republic. I also have staples from Cos, & other stories. Outlets and sales while you’re a student. More budget: Gap, Uniqlo, Zara/H&M but I personally can’t do those last two anymore. I’m into vintage and thrifted most of my work clothes for my internship, it just takes time to find/clean/alter. I’ve gotten a lot of Eileen Fisher and Theory from Poshmark, The Real Real, local curated consignment stores. TRR is so overstocked on Theory rn that they don’t take it anymore. (Heads up you do have to know your measurements to thrift online)

Also you don’t have to overthink it. If you like having fun with clothes, please do (within reason as a finance intern) but wouldn’t say it’s expected to have variety of outfits. You can fully dress like the boys with a white shirt and navy pants, or your capsule wardrobe of choice, every day if that’s more your speed.
