Not your average suit recommendation

There’s a lot of posts on WSO on where to get a suit (suit supply, CT, BB, indochino etc.) which is all well and good for most people, but what about us big and tall? Where’s a good place for non-custom suit jackets and shirts for bigger guys to shop on a budget (I’m okay with BB or CT prices) where I’m not going to look like im shaped like a box or oval? Especially for us with a wide back and chest and muscular arms.

If you're 'big and tall' that would be the first reason I would recommend that you pony up for a MTM suit. Not as expensive as bespoke, and of course won't fit as well because you're not dealing with more nuanced measurements but it'll fit better than off the rack.

Of course, when you're in the store, make sure the person doing the measurements is a tailor, not a salesman.

Depends on where you're located. Brooks Brothers does MTM. SuitSupply comes highly regarded on this site, there are 3 stores in Manhattan.

Don't know where you're located so I suggest just googling "MTM Suits" and finding options you like and then looking for a local store in your area.
