NYC: return to office dress attire

Hello everyone,
I recently landed an ft analyst role at a mm in NY. Return to office will be in September and I want to buy clothes before the move. What is the dress code? Thank you!

prestigious mm in NY

lol prestigious mm??? bro.... In all seriousness my advice is as to do one of the following

-ask an analyst or associate in your group that you networked with

-post on here anonymously and ask using the name of your bank

-post on here asking if anyone knows what the expected dress code will be when they return to office (not caring what bank they're at)

Please don't say "prestigious mm", it just reeks of insecurity. And I'm not saying this as some prestige-whore who's at a "top" BB looking down at you either, just trying to help you realize that outside of wso, no one really cares that much

the dress code is prestigious clothes (brooks brother with Patagonia vest), but not too prestigious (Rolex/TomFord/Ferragamo/)

the point is to look sharp, but not like your fit was $75K. Never dress better than senior bankers. That’s why brooks brothers is safe and Ferragamo you save for later

but remember as much as prestige, the clothes don’t make the man
