Peak lapel suit for Summer Intern [Please no jokes]
I have charcoal suit with a peak lapel. Unfortunately when I bought it 4 months ago I did not know if it was okay/not okay to wear it on Wall St..
Are peak lapel okay? Should I avoid it completely and buy a new charcoal suit?
P.S I would be very grateful if there are no jokes and you can give serious advice. I know there have been two previous threads but no firm answer has been given.
Are peak lapel only worn by Associates/VPs? Not by interns/analysts?
It really doesn't matter that much. Don't overthink things.
But if you're really uncomfortable about it, just buy a new suit for the peace of mind.
Wear clothes in proportion to your physique. There are definite dos and don'ts, good buddy of wearing a bold striped shirt. A bold stripe shirt calls for solid colored or discreetly patterned suits and ties.
which physique do you think is the best for peak lapel and notch lapel?
As for fitting of the suit, it perfectly fits me as I already got it tailored
I believe in taking care of myself, in a balanced diet, in a rigorous exercise routine. ln the morning, if my face is a little pufffy, I'll put on an icepack while doing my stomach crunches.
peak lapel is fine (if it is a quality suit). They tend to be italian cut, so like someone said above, hopefully you have the physique for the fit.
edit: F me. missed the bateman quote the first time around.
Yes, always tip the stylist 15%. Listen, I've gotta go, T. Boone Pickens just walked in.
