How do pubfin analysts do with regards to placement into B-schools?

As far as I can tell, B-Schools don't really discriminate based on group. In general, adcoms, while loosely familiar with the hierarchy of banks, don't rank groups. Ex: They would probably put Goldman Sponsors above CS sponsors.
You could probably turn it into an advantage if you talked about how your work in pub fin ignited a burning passion for public service, etc.
