Red Lining on Suit
I bought a spier and Mackay suit recently that fits me really well but the only problem is the lining is blood red, do I have to be cautious when taking it off and putting on, for context this for working in ib ny bb
The custom suits I wear have red lining. In fact one of them has the American flag as the lining. The peak lapels on my suits are over 4.5 inches which stands out a lot but everyone is fine with it.
Aren't you Australian? Why would you have the American flag on your suits?
I plan on moving to live in the US one day.
So you're Australian, live in Australia, but have a suit with an american flag lining for no other reason than you plan on living there one day? Looool wtf mate, that is an unprecedented amount of kool-aid you're drinking
To the people who pay attention to these things, it could come across as offensive. This would be the same demographic of co-workers who would get pissed off if you had peak lapels/pinstripe suit on your interview.
I would advise sticking to neutral blue/grey/brown linings for future suits. You don't want to come across as the "crimson red" guy
How often is the lining even visible though, would it not always be on your back or on the back of a chair. I have seen the spier and mackay red linings on their website and I think they would be appropriate even if they were seen.
