I wouldn't obsess over your shoes, as long as they match your belt/suit and look good. If what shoes you are wearing are what decides whether you get the offer or not, that's asinine. You don't want to work at a bank that is that uptight. Go bold, be yourself, and wear what makes you feel good.

Oxfords (or similar) polite, inoffensive, quiet shoes. Sometimes standing out is a good thing. As a SA or entry level role, they want you to toe the line. Lloyd Blankfein gets to wear a $10 timex, you need to keep up with the Jonses. I got to start being loud with a handful of letters after my name, and more experience in my specific role than basically anybody else at my $1T asset manager.

Any deal sled will do the trick. Make sure they jingle though.
