Shoes under/around $1k for younger MBB

Looking into getting a new pair of shoes as a non-traditional MBB intern. I just finished my freshman year of college and have around ~$1k +/- $500 to spend on a pair of shoe(s), so ideally this'll be a pair that last a while and can be worn in both an office/social scene.

I like classier/non-flashy designer stuff - think Louboutin (normal shoe w/ red sole), Ferragamo (recognizable if you know), etc but don't want to go over the top. Thoughts/recommendations?
