Suits for a SA

Hey all,
Can I get a decisive answer for what the best place to buy 2 suits in the $500-$800 range is? I have zero suit knowledge and after scrolling through posts from the last 10 years on suits, it seems some people love / hate every commonly named place on this site. As of today what is the best place to get a good quality suit that’s slim fitting in that price range?

Thanks in advance.

Also worth mentioning I went to Mens Warehouse and they carry 3 brands, the nicest looking being the Ralph Lauren I could buy at Macys which I think looks nice but as I said I have no suit knowledge and everyone shits on those suits it seems like.

You'd have to provide a few more specifics. How formal of a bank are we talking? Are you in the office FT or hybrid? Do you already have a selection of dress shirts, ties and shoes? Is your budget for everything or just suits specifically?

You'd need to provide all of that so we can determine if you even need 2 suits or if the money is better spent on good shirts or maybe 2 suits is not enough?? There's just too many variables. Also, are you starting soon? Haven't most SA programs already started? My SAs are doing their mid-point reviews already.

This is for next summer. Bank is somewhat formal and FT in office, but a suit isn’t worn every single day, business casual is standard I believe with suits being for client meetings and events. The budget of $500-$800 is specifically for the suits. I already have some CT dress shirts, but I’m open to ideas if you think I should look elsewhere. Waiting to get Allen Edmonds on sale for shoes since it sounds like they’re a good investment. No idea what I’ll do for belts yet but not a huge concern.

Appreciate any advice you have.

Oh then my advice is to wait. Its too early to start looking. Schedules change, your weight changes, a lot of things can be different in a year. Come back in 10 months and we'll talk.
