Thoughts about Shell Cordovan w/ Tassel

What are your thoughts about wearing a pair of Shell Cordovan shoes with the tassel in a business casual office?

I'm starting a new ft role and I shit you not I found two pairs of Aldens $600 Shell Cordovan with the tassel (in both black and brown) at goodwill for $7 each in my size and are in decent condition. I plan on investing in a decent pair of shoes once I get my first paycheck but in the meantime, I was thinking about wearing these.

I know at the end of the day it's just a pair of shoes, but I was just wondering what the general consensus was about this style.

Heres the exact shoe that I found.

Lucky man. I think they would be fine for casual Friday’s at most firms. Cordovan has a burgundy tint which is generally less formal but it’s literally the best leather out there for a shoe.

I admire a nice shell cordovan, upkept with a nice mirror shine

Later on when I'm more senior, I'd probably give fatter bonuses to my analysts that maintained well polished shoes (everything else equal). I really appreciate attention to detail

But loafers - are too casual for most day to day environments. Maybe fridays/office socials. I'd recommend shell cordovan on Oxfords
