Ties
I see it recommended often that bankers should wear conservative ties—how conservative are we talking? My favorite tie is navy, white, and light blue striped repp tie. Is this too flashy?
When I work with senior bankers, I can't help but notice that everyone tends to wear the same sort of ties: Ferragamo, Zegna or Hermes, with tiny inconspicuous pattern. If I were you and did not want to stick out, I would choose the same type of tie.
You’ll be fine as long as it’s not too bright/crazy pattern. paisley, stripes, and solid silk ties are classic. don’t wear bow ties. Honestly, a lot of bankers don’t even wear ties now, at least not at my BB.
